Increase in viscosity will have a minor effect on the mix head power draw but a major effect on the tank flow behavior. The increased viscosity will dampen the flow stream coming out from the mix head. The higher viscosity the more will the flow from the mix head be concentrated around the mixing impeller.
In order to have the same desired mixing behavior but with and increased viscosity the user can choose a larger mixer to compensate for the dampening effect.
The mixer selector will automatically compensate and choose an appropriate mixer the will be suitable for the application.
